Mapping Meaning
Mapping Meaning is a collaborative project with history teacher Doug Healey. In this course we explore not just our love for maps, but also how maps tell stories about history, politics, individual or shared experiences, and so much more. We use the examination and creation of maps to teach students to be culturally, socially, and visually literate. We have taught teacher workshops at the Boston Public Library, and the Progressive Education Network conferences. We have delivered a talk on this curriculum with the Boston Ed Talks via the Boston Foundation. We are currently working on ways to share this curriculum with a greater audience.
