Metals (Large)
These images are from workshops focused on larger scale metal work in both sheet metal, and welding. For the welding as a creative skill, students are guided in the fundamental principles of welding, basic oxy-acetylene welding and cutting skills, MIG welding, and finishing techniques. For the sheet metal/tinsmithing course, students used both new and reclaimed materials. Emphasis was on patternmaking, forming, and joinery skills. For both classes, the emphasis was to create something functional and/or decorative.
