Wearable Art
In Wearable Art, students learn basic clothing construction techniques using both traditional and non-traditional materials, as well as basic pattern making. Material manipulation and transformation is also examined. Students examine contemporary issues in fashion and clothing based art, and examine their own relationships to and assumptions about clothing. We end with a fashion show where students can share the clothes they make with the school community.
